POSITION SUMMARY
This is a PART TIME opportunity. Yes, it could grow into a full time position for the right person looking for that type of opportunity over time, but we anticipate 10 months of part time coaching work from September through June to start.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Staff Coach to support and elevate our club’s technical development initiatives. The Staff Coach plays a vital role in supporting the overall development of players within WYSA. This position requires a dedicated individual with a strong understanding of soccer fundamentals and a commitment to player growth. The Staff Coach will spend their time on the field with teams, working with players and coaches in various age groups. The club has recently obtained the Surf Nation affiliation, and will be launching the Surf Academy in September, and the Staff Coach can work in this program on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-field training sessions.
- Undertake player evaluations to identify potential talent at all levels of play.
- Collaborate with the Technical Director and team coaches to create individualized development plans for promising players.
- Provide feedback to the Technical Director on player and coach development.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, players, coaches and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a coach with players of all levels from U4-U18.
- Possess a recognized coaching license; CSA National C license preferred or Soccer 4 Life as minimum certification.
- Strong playing ability for demonstration purposes.
- Deep understanding of soccer tactics, techniques, and player development principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Passion for the game and a commitment to a “player first” development plan.
- Clean and valid Criminal Record Check; or ability to obtain prior to start date

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
