BlackCreek Forming is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to assist with takeoffs, pricing, bid preparation, tender submissions, and project coordination.
The candidate must be able to read construction drawings, specifications, details, addendums, and tender documents. They must understand the full bidding process from reviewing drawings to preparing a complete estimate and submitting the final bid.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, details, and addendums
- Complete quantity takeoffs for concrete forming, ICF, foundations, slabs, rebar, and framing-related scopes
- Prepare labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
- Review tender packages and identify scope requirements
- Track addendums and update estimates accordingly
- Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes
- Prepare bid forms, breakdowns, and estimate summaries
- Assist with change orders and project cost updates
- Communicate clearly with management, suppliers, and subcontractors
Requirements
- Experience in construction estimating
- Strong ability to read drawings, details, specifications, and addendums
- Knowledge of concrete forming, ICF, foundations, slabs, rebar, and general construction
- Understanding of the full tender and bidding process
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and organization skills
- Experience with takeoff/estimating software is an asset
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
