Responsibilities
- Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to client preferences
- Provide personalized consultations to recommend suitable styles and treatments
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Engage with clients through friendly communication, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Keep abreast of current trends and techniques in hair styling and grooming
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barber license required (asset)
- Prior experience in a salon or barbershop setting preferred but not mandatory; training provided for entry-level candidates
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and explain services clearly
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Retail sales experience is a plus but not essential; willingness to learn is important
Pay: $17.60-$25.00 per hour
