Invera Flexibles in Edmonton is hiring for a Recycling Operator
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Recycling Operator will operate the machine and continuous production of resin. The operator is responsible for quality of materials to ensure optimal resin production.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Load, unload & move products and materials by using basic material handling equipment safely.
- Perform other activities such as sorting, removal of hardened plastic blockages to ensure machine is running smoothly.
- Keeping work space organized and clean, ensuring work is performed in a safe manner.
- Required to lift heavy loads (up to 30 lbs) manually.
- Practice safe work procedures and follow all health & safety regulations.
- Safe and efficient operation of recycling equipment, including grinders, hand tools, power tools, shredders, densifiers, band saws, cleaners, and an extruder.
- Experience with rotating equipment, machine maintenance, and extrusion operations is a definite asset.
- Assist with maintenance and cleaning of the machines.
- Equalize finished resin boxes.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No specific work experience required previous manufacturing experience an asset; reliability in previous roles required.
- Excellent work ethic and an excellent attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
- Previous forklift experience a definite asset; will be required to have the ability to successfully pass forklift certification.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of PPE).
- Good communication in English (the ability to speak, read and write)
- Ability to stand for a long period of time, physically fit and ability to lift up to 30 lbs, without assistance
- Must have reliable transportation as there is no bus route to this location.
Hours of Work:
7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.. (Monday thru Friday)
Shifts are subject to change with appropriate working notice.

Hourly Wage: $20.21 per hour dependent on experience, eligible for Benefits after three (3) months of employment. After six months of continuous service eligible for a $1.00 hourly increase.
