Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Civil Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience to join our firm. The successful candidate will independently manage a diverse caseload and play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Our practice focuses primarily on corporate and commercial disputes, construction litigation, employment matters, and breach of contract claims. This role offers meaningful responsibility and direct client engagement.

You are confident and organized in the practice of litigation. You have a clear understanding around the rules and the complexities of running litigation files from start to finish independently. You can manage multiple matters simultaneously and docket your time to ensure important deadlines and appearances are met and delivered.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage civil litigation files from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, application, affidavits, settlement documents and other legal correspondence
- Conduct discoveries, attend mediations, pre-trials, and court appearances
- Develop litigation strategies across corporate/commercial, construction, and employment disputes
- Provide practical and strategic legal advice to clients
- Collaborate with other lawyers and support staff
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
- Ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are met
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
- Proven ability to carry files independently with minimal supervision
- Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills
- Experience in corporate/commercial, construction, employment, or contract disputes is highly preferred
- Excellent organizational and client management skills
