Sofina in Hanover, Ontario is hiring on their production line.
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Production Worker is responsible for processing food products. This position involves repetitive work with a need for speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. You will be required to work in different areas of the department performing a variety of production related activities.
Job Purpose and Duties
- Unload live birds from trailers and place on the line
- Monitor for animal welfare conditions; ensure human handling practices are followed at all times
- Utilize safe lifting techniques and work practices
- All other duties as required
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety (to be tested)
- Successful completion of Animal Welfare training
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting 18kgs +)
- Demonstrated recent satisfactory performance and attendance
