Position Overview
As Site Supervisor / Superintendent, you will play a key role in leading, managing, and coordinating on site execution for projects within the company. As a permanent full-time position, the Site Supervisor / Superintendent will report to and work closely with the Project Manager and Operations Manager, supporting the safe, efficient, and quality execution of projects. The ideal candidate takes great pride in ensuring projects are executed to the highest level of quality while ensuring Tkemlúps Contracting is represented to the best of their ability, at all times.
This role is based in Kamloops, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe operation on site at all times, make sure everyone gets home safe, everyday.
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all on-site construction activities.
- Manage field operations on greenfield and brownfield industrial construction projects.
- Plan and coordinate labour, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and construction sequencing.
- Lead and mentor foremen, supervisors, and field personnel while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers, engineering teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality, and costs while identifying and resolving field challenges.
- Conduct daily planning meetings, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, schedules, permits, and work packages.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress tracking, and field documentation.
- Foster strong client relationships through professional communication and successful project execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive industrial construction experience with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role.
- Proven leadership experience on mining, LNG, pipeline, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, scheduling, quality management, and field execution.
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in fast-paced industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, engineering specifications, and project schedules.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and construction management software.
- Mine Supervisor Ticket considered an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Kamloops, BC.
Compensation Range: $50.00-$65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
A company truck, laptop, and other equipment required to perform the duties of the role will be provided for business use.
