Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to create an efficient and harmonious kitchen atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Monitor food quality during cooking and adjust temperatures as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and timing for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members.
