The Position:
Our Club is currently looking for Front-of-House Service Team Members to join our team on a seasonal, full-time contract through the end of 2026, with potential for extension or permanent placement.
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage / Executive Chef, this important position is responsible for servicing members and guests in the Club’s restaurants, as well as during special events, on-course and inside the Clubhouse.
Applicants must be available for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Founded in 1911 when Vancouver was just 25 years old, Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club traces its history back to the earliest days of golf on the West Coast. First located on Canadian Pacific Railway lands, the Club moved in 1960 to the ancestral site of the Musqueam Nation’s winter village. Shaughnessy has served as the proud host of many prestigious events and notable figures in golf and tennis over these 100+ years. Today’s Club features an award-winning clubhouse, highly ranked and competitive golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, fitness and a golf performance centre.

Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding hospitality by greeting members and guests with warmth and professionalism.
- Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure accuracy in a fine dining setting.
- Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, and club events to enhance the member experience.
- Assist with hosting, bartending, banquet service, and other front-of-house duties as needed.
- Keep your section clean, organized, and set up for seamless service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by any member of the management team.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of service experience in the upscale hospitality industry.
- Private club industry experience is considered an asset.
- Serving it Right Certificate required.
- A Sommelier designation or WSET is considered an asset.
- Bar experience is considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive wage range of $18.50-$22.50/hour, commensurate with service experience.
