Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to accurately process transactions and handle cash or card payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food handling and food preparation stations
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Experience in serving or food preparation within the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy
