Plant Operator (Food Waste Processing Plant)
Full-Time | Rotating Shifts (Days/Afternoons + Overtime as Needed)
The position starts at $24.10/hour, and we offer structured training and skill-based wage increases, which provides you the opportunity to earn up to $26/hour as you achieve key development milestones.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of daily plant operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating plant equipment, including forklifts and loaders, to move food waste material
- Directing truck traffic and ensuring safe, accurate unloading of materials
- Monitoring processing operations and adjusting as needed
- Performing routine inspections, sampling, and data logging
- Troubleshooting equipment and operational issues
- Maintaining the facility, including housekeeping and site upkeep
- Following all safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly
- Supporting overall plant performance through teamwork and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need a specific degree—just a strong work ethic and hands-on experience.
Preferred Experience:
- One (1) or more years in an agricultural, industrial, or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience with food processing or wastewater treatment (a plus)
- Forklift or front-end loader operation (a plus)

- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Solid communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Ability to follow processes and work safely in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
This is a hands-on, active role in a plant setting. You’ll work primarily indoors with in varying conditions, including exposure to strong smells/odors, food waste, noise, weather, and industrial equipment, and some outdoor work.
You’ll be equipped with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to do your job safely.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly (50 lbs with assistance)
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions

Schedule
- Rotating day and afternoon shifts - 5am-1pm & 12:30pm-9pm
- Overtime and weekend work as needed
