Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation of bathroom and kitchen fixtures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to install cabinetry, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and custom cabinetry.
- Prepare surfaces by performing concrete finishing, masonry work, construction painting, and restoration tasks to ensure a solid foundation for installations.
- Measure spaces precisely to facilitate accurate cutting, fitting, and alignment of tiles, countertops, cabinets, and appliances.
- Perform caulking, sealing, plumbing connections, electrical wiring (where qualified), and masonry work to create durable and water-tight installations.
- Operate concrete forming equipment or scaffolding as needed for structural support during renovations.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate project timelines and materials needed while maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or renovation projects with knowledge of carpentry, tile laying, flooring installation, plumbing, electrical work or related fields.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, concrete forming techniques, masonry work and welding when applicable.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or restoration machinery is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of caulking techniques, drywall finishing, cabinet installation and construction painting.
- Knowledge of electrical systems or plumbing is beneficial; relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to adapt quickly to project changes while maintaining safety standards.
