Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing stone surfaces to achieve high-quality, polished results. This role requires a strong understanding of various tools and machinery, as well as a commitment to safety and precision. The Stone Polisher plays a vital part in delivering premium products for our clients, ensuring each piece meets our rigorous standards of craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal. The pay will be discussed in person.
Responsibilities
- Operate polishing machines and hand tools to smooth and finish stone surfaces
- Inspect stones for imperfections and determine appropriate polishing techniques
- Use power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols related to machinery operation and materials handling
- Assist with material handling using forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on polishing equipment to ensure longevity and proper functioning
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, machining, welding, and assembly processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, forklift operation, and power tools is beneficial
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and machinery in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable
- Construction or stone fabrication experience will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to work safely around industrial equipment and adhere to safety guidelines at all times
Pay: $0.15-$0.33 per hour
