Position Overview
As a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver, you will play a critical role in helping clients access healthcare services safely and on time. You will provide professional transportation services while maintaining a caring and respectful approach toward passengers, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with mobility challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Transportation & Assistance
· Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, dialysis treatments, and other approved destinations.
· Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as required.
· Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to safety standards.
· Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining excellent customer service.
· Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, healthcare facilities, and dispatch staff.
Safety & Compliance
· Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Follow all provincial traffic laws, company policies, and transportation regulations.
· Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
· Maintain accurate trip records and transportation documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract (CLASS 4)
· Current CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
· Ability to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to assist clients with mobility limitations and medical transportation needs.
