The Client Service Navigator (CSN) provides on-site, person-centred support at Chateau Masson, helping individuals maintain housing stability, access community services, and improve overall well-being through a collaborative, partnership-based model of care. Working with residents experiencing complex health, mental health, and social challenges, the CSN supports independence, service coordination, and positive housing outcomes.

Resident Engagement & Service Approach
- Build trust-based relationships and provide voluntary, resident-centered support using a trauma-informed approach.
- Adjust service intensity based on each resident's needs, goals, and readiness.
Client Support & System Navigation
- Help residents access healthcare, social services, and community resources.
- Coordinate supports, assist with appointments, and advocate within service systems.
Collaboration & Partnerships
- Work collaboratively with community partners, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in care planning and case conferences.
On-Site Support & Stabilization
- Support housing stability, wellness, daily living skills, and resident independence.
- Provide guidance to staff supporting residents with complex needs.
Assessment & Documentation
- Complete assessments, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reporting and program evaluation.
Crisis Response
- Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and coordinate emergency response when required.
- Support follow-up planning to promote resident stability.
Harm Reduction & Overdose Response
- Promote harm reduction, overdose prevention, and safer substance use practices.
- Support access to addiction services and respond to overdose incidents, including naloxone administration.
Other Responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings, maintain professional relationships, support organizational priorities, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post-secondary education in Social Services, Health Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting individuals in housing, homelessness, community, or health service settings.
- Knowledge of healthcare and social service systems, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment and manage competing priorities.
- Harm reduction and overdose response training (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with case management systems and lived experience are considered assets.
- Valid driver's license and police clearance preferred/required.
Physical & Psychological Demands
- Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the residence, with occasional lifting, bending, and emergency response requirements.
- Regular work with individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, trauma, and other complex challenges.
- Ability to remain professional and effective in crisis situations, manage competing priorities, and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
