We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage and process bi-weekly payroll and all facets of responsibility pertaining to payroll in Ontario.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Process bi-weekly in Payworks
- Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain employee files
- Process T4's
- Provide reports as necessary and problem solving with results
- Remittance of EHT, EI, CPP, tax deductions, WSIB, etc.
- Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have experience processing payroll in Payworks
- Payroll certificate (PCP)
- Strong experience with Microsoft (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Experience with payroll in the mechanical industry an asset
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and experience with job costing
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be able to work 8 – 5pm, M – F
