Overview
CARSTAR Bay Roberts is a busy, modern collision repair facility. We pride ourselves on high-quality repairs, excellent customer service, and a safe work environment. We are currently expanding our team and looking for a skilled Automotive Bodyman (Journeyman or Registered 3rd- or 4th-Year Apprentice) to join us.
Duties
- Review work orders and plan repair steps efficiently.
- Repair and replace damaged motor vehicle body parts and interior/exterior trim.
- Operate welding, pulling, and frame-alignment equipment.
- Remove damaged panels and components; install replacements.
- Repair dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Mentor junior apprentices (if applying as a Journeyman).
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Trade Certification OR registered 3rd- or 4th-Year Apprentice status.
- Proven experience in a busy collision repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle structure, frame repair, and alignment.
- Own set of tools required for the trade.
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturer specifications, industry standards and safety procedures related to autobody repair.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or materials safely.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
