Role Summary
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will serve as an advisor and trusted partner to People Leaders, Team Members, and the People & Culture (P&C) Team on all matters related to people, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. You will be working closely with leaders across the organization to support workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives. In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of People & Culture.
Responsibilities-
Manage end-to-end recruitment, including candidate screening and interviewing, coordinating hiring activities, collaborating with managers to define role requirements, conducting background and reference checks, and preparing employment agreements

Train & coach Hiring Managers on Eminence recruiting best practices

Participate in in-person interviews with Hiring Managers

Serve as a trusted P&C partner to Leaders, providing expertise in Eminences people related policies, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent development, recognition programs, training, and workplace health and safety.

Provide guidance and training to support Leaders to develop their Team Members
- Support departmental change initiatives by assessing people impacts and facilitating employee transition and adoption.

Serve as a key point of contact for Team Members on employment-related matters, providing timely and practical advice

Partner with other members of the P&C team to organize and support engagement initiatives and events
- Partner with the Director of People & Culture to roll out the annual Team Member Opinion Survey

Manage Team Member Leave Program (vacation and administration of extended leaves of absence), including documentation, meetings, and follow-up as required

Conduct Onboarding and Orientation activities as required

Provide guidance and processes to Leaders to coordinate the implementation of the departure checklist to ensure a successful transition, including announcements, technology, materials and overall exit administration

Conduct exit interviews and take action as required

Coordinate research, policy preparation and response to basic legislative inquiries and/or claims

Draft and coordinate communications for People & Culture program implementation and change initiatives

Create and amend Contracts
- Assist the Director of People & Culture in ensuring that all Team Members have role-specific KPIs
Qualifications-
5+ years of increasing levels of experience in a Generalist HR role with demonstrated experience in all aspects of the job description

1-2 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, training, new employee orientations, onboarding and offboarding
- 1-2 years of experience in leading and participating in job evaluations, job description development and all aspects of performance development

Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook mail, tasks, and calendar-management capabilities

Experience in conducting and facilitating training an asset

Knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, contracts, and workplace regulations, including Employment Standards, Human Rights, and WorkSafe requirements.

Knowledge of methods and techniques used in attracting, recruiting, interviewing and testing candidates

Knowledge of performance development processes

Ability to develop and sustain cooperative, productive working relationships to demonstrate our core values and contribute positively to the culture of the organization

Ability to pull HR Metrics and Analytics

Ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion and to handle highly confidential information professionally
- Ability to multitask and work well in a high-pressure, multiple-deadline environment and to work well with minimal supervision and with many styles of direct leadership
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment, and problem-solving skills
