SproutShine is hiring a residential cleaning technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will start in August. You must be able to work between 2 - 5 days a week. Shifts vary with company needs.
Who We Are
We are a woman-led residential cleaning company serving Edmonton and surrounding areas. The owner started SproutShine after experiencing firsthand how a messy house affected her well-being as a new parent. Disappointed by expensive, impersonal cleaning services, she launched SproutShine to provide affordable, high-quality cleaning using toxin-free products that prioritize the health of clients and staff.

Pay
Starting wage is $20.00/hour until your probation ends (approx. 3 months), then it gets bumped up ( to owners discretion.) Clients often tip, which you keep 100% of. SproutShine always rewards hard-working individuals with raises as experience is gained, around every 3-6 months following probation.

Job Overview
We're looking for a reliable, trustworthy, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work. This role offers a flexible schedule, with potential for growth as our company expands. Working hours are between 9:00am - 4:00pm, ranging from 3-6.5 hour cleaning time. You may clean one or two houses in a day, and you may be required to work with another team member for deep cleans.
Duties
This is a general overview of your daily tasks as a residential cleaner.
- Following cleaning procedures and techniques that you learned during the training process
- Dusting all surfaces high to low
- Vacuuming floors and under easy to move furniture
- Mopping
- Surface cleaning
- Collecting garbage's
- Light organizing/tidying of clients personal items
- Deep cleaning of ovens and fridges upon request
- Wall washing
- Top to bottom clean of each space requested
- Laundry (if requested by clients)
- Making beds
- Washing dishes occasionally
- Move in / move out cleaning
- Bi-weekly & monthly cleaning with consistent customers
Requirements
- Own reliable transportation IS A MUST.
- Proper working cell phone with data IS A MUST
- Can lift up to 30 lbs
- Very mobile and active (can go up and down stairs frequently)
- Can be on your feet moving for hours
- Can move with purpose - you have a hustle in your step but you can still do quality work and move quickly.
- Very detail oriented. (Ex: you notice a small water spot on a faucet, or a crumb on the ground)
- You have availability between the hours of 9-4:00, and can work at least 3 days between Monday-Friday.
- Proficiency in English
- Can effectively and respectfully communicate with clients and team members
- Residential or commercial cleaning experience is an asset, but we're willing to train the right candidate
- Positive attitude
- Knows how when its important to slow down and take your time with a task, and when to work quickly and efficiently.
