Overview
We are seeking a friendly, dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the food industry, customer service, and hospitality. The Food Service Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests by assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellent service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Assist with food preparation and plating to ensure timely service
- Serve food and beverages accurately and efficiently, adhering to proper serving protocols
- Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food handling areas
- Refill beverages, clear tables, and assist with bussing duties as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures
- Support team members in various tasks to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to serve efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food preparation or barista duties is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if required

Pay: $17.60-$20.88 per hour
