We want to add a full-time experienced Installation Technician with strong knowledge of 12-volt systems to our growing team in Calgary who is energetic and a self-starter. We want you on our team if you have a passion for bringing visions to life, a strong knowledge of 12-volt wiring and 12 VDC automotive experience, and a passion for problem-solving.
Job Duties
Working and reporting directly to the Shop Foreman, the Installation Technician will perform the following tasks:
- 12-volt wiring & soldering
- 12 VDC automotive tasks
- Fabricating custom pieces for vehicles
- Problem solving
- Moving vehicles in the yard or for delivery.
- Ensuring the shop is clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minor custom fabrication and installs such as drawers, decks and more
- Troubleshoot relays and switches in workspaces.
- Wiring vehicles to meet specific specifications.
- Installing prefabricated items such as shelving, lights, radios and more into vehicles
Applicants
You are comfortable working in an industrial environment that may require heavy physical duties. Your work will involve frequent standing, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
· Operate shop tools, power tools and have knowledge of using a measuring tape.
· Own their own tools.
· Class 5 license
· Ability to problem solve
· Strong English written and verbal skills
· Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
· Strong knowledge of 12-volt automotive wiring and 12 VDC automotive experience
*Welding and manufacturing experience- an asset
* Fabrication experience - an asset
· Must have a Clear Criminal Record
· Routing wiring looms from point to point
-Compensation is commensurate with experience
