Job Description
As a Night Janitor at Crown Isle Resort, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the clubhouse and public areas during overnight hours. Your work ensures that guests and team members arrive each morning to a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming environment.
This role also supports guest service by assisting with occasional overnight requests, including delivering items to guest rooms as needed.
Training and support are provided to help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Clubhouse & Public Areas:
- Clean and maintain all clubhouse spaces, including lobby, hallways, lounges, and common areas
- Clean and sanitize public washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep and mop hard floor surfaces
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, spot treatment, and floor care
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, baseboards, railings, and surfaces
- Clean windows, glass doors, and high-touch surfaces throughout the clubhouse
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal
Cleaning & Maintenance Support:
- Identify and report maintenance issues or safety concerns (lighting, leaks, damage, etc.)
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Replenish supplies in washrooms and janitorial storage areas
- Keep janitorial closets and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
Guest Support:
- Respond to overnight guest requests in a timely and professional manner
- Deliver items such as linens, towels, or amenities to guest rooms when required
- Maintain a quiet and respectful presence to ensure minimal disruption to guests
Safety & Security:
- Follow all safety procedures and cleaning standards
- Be aware of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security concerns
- Ensure doors, access points, and public areas are secure as required during overnight hours
Team Support:
- Communicate effectively with the Front Desk and other departments
- Assist with additional cleaning or operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning products
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Assets:
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience
- Experience working in a hotel, resort, or public facility
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
