Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Ensuring access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
- Intercept traffic coming into the facility and record their information
- Managing gate control
- Locking and Unlocking main gate entrance
- Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
- Completing daily logs and written reports
- Incident reporting
- Ability of get in and out of the car to stop incoming traffic
- Visitor Log Entry for entrants each day
- Outdoor work is required(must dress according to weather)
- Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
- Maintaining effective communication with other on-site security staff
- Providing assistance to employees, client and visitors
- Other duties as may be required by the client or Site Supervisor.
WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:
- *MUST* Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- *MUST*Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- *MUST* have valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License
- *MUST* clear driver's abstract
- Must wear PPE
- Ability to tab 30 words/minute on ipad/tablet
- Be able to think critically
WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:
- Job Type: Part-Time
- Hourly Rate of Pay: $23.64
- Working Hours: Monday-Tuesday 0500-1700
- Location: 1300 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, Ontario
- Free parking on site - No public transit available during work hours
