Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovation Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and various construction disciplines, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on diverse renovation projects, restoring and upgrading residential and commercial properties, and utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools. Candidates with handyman experience, and masonry knowledge are highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and tile laying as needed
- Install cabinets, siding, roofing components, flooring, and other structural or finishing elements
- Conduct restoration work to repair or upgrade existing structures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Measure accurately for cutting and fitting materials using construction estimating skills
- Apply construction painting, caulking, and finishing techniques to ensure high-quality results
- Assist in assembly tasks for various fixtures or structural components
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for project completion
- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, woodworking, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, tile laying, siding installation, roofing, and flooring is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and construction estimating software is advantageous
- Experience with plumbing or electrical work is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Handyman experience or background in restoration projects is beneficial
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required
