Job Summary
We are seeking a Personal Injury Associate Lawyer to join our growing plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Toronto/North York.
This is an opportunity to step into an active practice with an existing caseload, dedicated law clerk support, additional support staff, access to senior counsel, and a real opportunity to grow internally. The role is well suited for a lawyer who wants meaningful carriage of files, direct client contact, and the chance to help build a young, emerging firm.
The successful candidate should have at least 1 year of post-call personal injury experience and be comfortable handling plaintiff-side personal injury files, including motor vehicle, slip and fall, long-term disability, tort, and related matters.
Responsibilities will include managing files from intake through resolution, assessing liability and damages, developing settlement strategy, preparing settlement proposals and litigation materials, negotiating with insurers and defence counsel, attending litigation steps, communicating with clients, and finalizing settlements.
The ideal candidate will have a practical, resolution-focused approach to claims and be open to using technology, systems, and efficient processes to help manage files and grow the practice.
This is a full-time position with flexibility. Compensation is competitive, commensurate with experience, and may include a performance-based bonus structure.
