Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for our premises. This role involves monitoring property, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their security expertise.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security protocols and access controls to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary
- Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for management
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed
- Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and promote a safe environment
Skills
- Experience or background in law enforcement is advantageous but not required
- Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and procedures
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and composed during stressful situations
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks efficiently
