Employment Summary
Wintec is seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 3 Drivers to support our road construction operation. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction equipment, aggregates, materials, and supplies to and from job sites while supporting daily construction activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining project schedules, ensuring safe transportation practices, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 and/or Class 3 commercial vehicles to transport construction equipment, aggregates, materials, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Operate a variety of equipment including lowbeds, tandem trucks, gravel trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, end dumps, and service vehicles, depending on qualifications and project requirements.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and complete all required vehicle, safety, and transportation documentation.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment and materials in compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups with supervisors, dispatch, and field crews to support construction schedules and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, timesheets, and other required records.
- Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report maintenance requirements, defects, incidents, and safety concerns.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, transportation regulations, traffic laws, and road construction site procedures.
- Assist with general labour, shop support, and other duties as assigned when driving duties are limited.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License or Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Previous experience operating commercial vehicles in a construction, aggregate, or heavy equipment environment is considered an asset.
- Experience operating lowbeds, tandem trucks, gravel trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, end dumps, or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment.
- CSTS certification considered an asset.
- H2S Alive certification considered an asset.
- First Aid/CPR certification considered an asset.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as required during the construction season.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
