Our Client is a global CPG organization in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to join them on a 6-month contract assignment. The role is hybrid with 3 days in office located in Mississauga and 2 days work from home (some weeks will be 4 days in office depending on deadlines and meetings).
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), FP&A – Business Support will provide to certain segments of the business. This role ensures continuity of high‑quality financial planning, forecasting, and decision support.
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), FP&A – Business Support will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and the Assistant Manager, FP&A to deliver forward‑looking financial insights, robust scenario modeling, and disciplined performance management in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), FP&A – Business Support:

Financial Planning & Forecasting. Support end‑to‑end budgeting, forecasting, and in‑year financial management for Glad and Brita.

Financial Modeling & Scenario Analysis. Build, enhance, and maintain financial models to support pricing, trade, promotions, innovation, and strategic decision‑making.

Commercial Partnership. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to evaluate financial implications of commercial initiatives and provide clear, actionable insights.

Performance Management. Prepare and analyze monthly results, including variance analysis vs. plan, forecast, and prior year.

Ad‑Hoc Decision Support. Respond to in‑year business questions with timely, data‑driven assessments and recommendations.

FP&A Discipline & Documentation. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency of assumptions, methodologies, and outputs across all deliverables.
Must Have:

Bachelor of Accounting or Finance or related field.

CPA designation or in the program.

Strong FP&A expertise with advanced financial modeling capabilities.

Hands‑on experience in budgeting and forecasting, ideally within Category Finance or Sales Finance.

Experience supporting CPG businesses or CPG manufacturing experience.

Advanced proficiency with financial analysis tools (Excel modeling, reporting platforms, etc.).

Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data.

Strong communication and storytelling skills, especially when partnering with Sales and Marketing.

Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.

Comfortable working independently at a Senior Financial Analyst level with minimal supervision.
