Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Window Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Experience in construction-related fields is preferred, and candidates should possess a strong understanding of various building techniques and tools.
Duties
- Measure window openings accurately using blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Remove old windows and prepare openings for new installations
- Install windows securely using hand tools, caulking, and other necessary materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation procedures
- Seal windows properly to prevent leaks, drafts, and water intrusion
- Assist with related restoration tasks such as construction painting, flooring installation, or tile laying as needed
- Operate construction tools including carpentry tools, plumbing equipment, welding apparatus, and other specialized instruments
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving schematics or detailed construction plans
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and carpentry
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and restoration techniques
- Ability to perform construction painting, flooring installation, or tile laying is a plus
- Familiarity with plumbing or welding is advantageous but not required
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to window installation and general construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
