About the Role
We are a Leamington-based trucking company expanding our freight-booking and dispatch desk. This role starts with a smaller group of trucks and will grow over time. We need a reliable, professional dispatcher who can book freight, communicate with brokers and drivers, make sound load decisions, and help build repeat business. While volume ramps up, the role will also include dispatch-related admin, safety follow-up, and operational support.
What You’ll Do
Load Booking & Dispatch
- Search for and secure freight through LoadLink, DAT, brokers, and other freight sources
- Call brokers, discuss load details, negotiate rates, and confirm workable freight
- Plan loads based on pickup/delivery timing, driver hours, equipment, location, deadhead, and service risk
- Dispatch drivers with clear instructions and expectations
- Track loads from pickup through delivery and communicate updates professionally
- Help reduce empty miles and improve truck utilization
- Build repeat broker relationships through strong service and follow-up
Admin, Safety & Operational Support
As the freight desk ramps up, you will also help with dispatch-related and admin support work, including:
- Updating dispatch records, trackers, and load documentation
- Reviewing driver logs and HOS-related items
- Following up on Motive safety events or compliance items
- Supporting basic DOT/FMCSA/CVOR/cross-border documentation
- Assisting with driver applicant screening and general operations/admin tasks as needed
The primary focus is still load booking, dispatch, communication, and growth. Admin and safety support are part of the role while volume builds.

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
