About the Role
As the Front Desk Supervisor, you will support the daily operations of the front office, ensuring smooth check‑ins, efficient service, and a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. You’ll act as a leader on shift, guiding the front desk team, resolving guest concerns, and maintaining the friendly, personalized service the Sylvia is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in delivering warm, attentive, and professional guest service
- Handle guest check‑ins, check‑outs, and reservation inquiries
- Resolve guest concerns with empathy, efficiency, and sound judgment
- Ensure accuracy in billing, cash handling, and daily reports
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain knowledge of room types, rates, promotions, and hotel amenities
- Uphold hotel policies, safety procedures, and service standards
- Assist with scheduling, performance feedback, and operational improvements
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a calm, confident presence
- Proficiency with hotel PMS systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional appearance and a genuine passion for hospitality
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
