Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring smooth food service operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Cook and prepare dishes, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
- Support serving staff by helping with plating and delivering food to customers or dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or needs
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist in setting up kitchen stations for meal service and closing down after shifts
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude towards collaboration
- Basic understanding of serving practices and customer service principles
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to kitchen operations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving kitchen supplies
