Job Summary
We are a Edmonton based plumbing company that work only in the greater Edmonton area. We are looking for a qualified individual to join our team. We pay $39.00 + 10% holiday pay to start.
This professional will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems across various commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, contributing to safe and efficient system installations and repairs.
We would prefer to have someone with both commercial construction and service experience but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to assemble, modify, or repair piping systems.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures, gas lines, and related systems to ensure optimal functioning.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Diagnose system issues using technical schematics and provide effective solutions promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures related to construction sites, including proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/woman Plumber or Gasfitter with valid licensing or certification.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, maintenance procedures, carpentry skills, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics for complex piping or gas systems.
- Familiarity with welding techniques relevant to plumbing or gasfitting tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Construction experience preferred with a solid understanding of building codes and safety standards.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during installation or repairs.
