Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial painting, and wall paper application. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to transform spaces with precision and professionalism.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Manage rigging and scaffolding as needed for high or hard-to-reach areas
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments
- Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, caulking guns, as well as power tools like sanders and spray guns
- Knowledge of carpentry basics for surface preparation and minor repairs is a plus
- Strong customer service skills to address client needs professionally
- Effective time management skills to complete projects within deadlines
- Experience with restoration projects is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding project progress and requirements
