Edmonton & Area | Onsite | Full-time | Monday to Friday (some weekend shifts as needed)
We're hiring urgently for this position and are ready to move fast for the right candidate.
Downright Demolition Ltd. specializes in interior demolition projects throughout Edmonton. We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Site Superintendent to lead our field crews. This role is at the heart of how we deliver projects — you will be responsible for directing daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standard. You will work closely with our estimators and project managers to keep projects running smoothly from mobilization through to final clean-up.
- Real ownership - you run the site, from crew assignments to daily pace, safety, and quality
- Room to grow - Downright is part of the fast-growing Mosaic Family of Companies, and strong performers move up
- A team behind you - estimators and project managers work with you, not around you, on every job
Direct and coordinate day-to-day field crew activities, assign tasks based on project requirements, and ensure all personnel are working efficiently and purposefully toward project milestones.
Enforce all site safety protocols, conduct daily toolbox talks, ensure proper PPE usage, and maintain a zero-incident culture. Complete hazard assessments and incident reports as required.
Monitor project timelines and daily production targets, proactively identify delays or resource gaps, and coordinate with the project manager to keep work on track and within budget.
Oversee demolition execution to ensure work meets scope requirements and client expectations. Conduct regular site walk-throughs and address any quality concerns before they escalate.
Coordinate the delivery, use, and return of equipment and tools. Track material removal, waste disposal, and recycling in line with project and regulatory requirements.
Maintain clear, timely communication with the project manager and estimator. Provide daily progress updates, flag any scope changes or site conditions, and document site activities accurately.
Represent Downright Demolition professionally on site. Act as the primary point of contact for general contractors and site owners during daily operations, and coordinate with any subcontractors working alongside the crew.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role in demolition or construction
- Strong knowledge of interior demolition methods, tools, and best practices
- Current First Aid, CSTS, Fall Protection & Aerial Work Platform certifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project scopes
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a diverse crew
- Organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation to reach project sites
Monday to Friday, with some weekend shifts required depending on project deadlines.
