Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Siding Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of siding on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces for siding installation according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure siding materials.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct installation procedures.
- Install different types of siding materials, including vinyl, wood, fiber cement, or metal siding.
- Perform caulking around seams and edges to ensure weatherproofing and a clean finish.
- Conduct heavy lifting of siding panels and related materials safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work with a focus on siding installation preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and levels.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing joints and seams.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or on ladders safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different project requirements.
- Prior experience with blueprint reading is a plus but not required; training will be provided if necessary. This position is vital for maintaining high standards in building exteriors while providing opportunities for skill development in construction and carpentry trades.
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
