Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry field while learning from a skilled Journeyman Carpenter. The Carpenter Apprentice will assist in various new construction and renovation projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while developing essential carpentry skills.
Duties
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for construction projects.
- Support experienced carpenters in concrete forming, masonry, and restoration tasks.
- Participate in framing, plumbing, electrical, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, shingling, sheet metal, drywall, installing doors & windows, painting, and siding projects.
- Tasks involve everything required to build a house or shop. You will gain hands on experience in every step required to build or renovate residential units.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks.
- Engage in construction painting and caulking as part of finishing work.
- Help with rebar installation and roofing duties as required.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and maintenance person projects.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor as necessary to complete job assignments.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, woodworking, and construction principles is preferred.
- Previous exposure to plumbing or electrical work is beneficial for overall skill development.
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and techniques in the carpentry trade.
- Ability to work well within a team environment while following safety protocols.
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of heavy lifting and prolonged standing during work hours.
