Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move goods safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of all items
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to maintain mechanical safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Assist with order picking processes by selecting products according to order specifications with precision
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities, measure items, and ensure correct order fulfillment
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar material handling equipment in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory tracking
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
