Senior QA Engineer – API & Backend Testing

What is in it for you:

- Incorporated Business Rate: $62-72 per hour.
- 6-month contract.
- Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
- Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Execute API and backend test cases using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Validate pricing calculations and business rule execution.
- Develop test scenarios for data-driven and rule-based systems.
- Perform end-to-end testing across integrated systems.
- Validate batch outputs, including CSV files, and API responses.
- Contribute to test automation and regression testing.
What you will need to succeed:
- 10+ years of experience in API and backend testing.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of test case design for data-driven systems.
- Experience validating complex business logic, including calculations and rules.
- Ability to perform end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems.
- Experience testing financial systems or pricing calculations is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools is considered an asset.
- Strong SQL and data validation skills are considered an asset.
- Experience with batch testing and file-based validation, including CSV files and exports, is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with performance or load testing tools is considered an asset.
