Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety, and delivering excellent food service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, experience in food handling, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Serve prepared dishes promptly and efficiently to ensure quality presentation and customer satisfaction
- Assist with inventory management by stocking ingredients and supplies as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
Skills
- Experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal assembly
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent serving skills with attention to presentation detail
