Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Screed Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating screed equipment to ensure the smooth and precise placement of concrete surfaces. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and safety protocols. The Screed Operator plays a vital part in delivering high-quality paving and concrete finishing work on commercial and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
- Operate screed machinery to level and smooth freshly poured concrete surfaces with precision.
- Coordinate with the construction crew to ensure proper placement and finishing of concrete.
- Use heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and other machinery as needed for material handling and site preparation.
- Assist with concrete forming, paving, and finishing tasks to meet project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean work area, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, paving, or concrete finishing is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, and screed machines.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively in a construction environment.
- Experience with concrete forming, paving, and finishing techniques is highly desirable.
- Commercial driving skills or licenses are a plus for transporting equipment or materials on-site.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, with excellent teamwork skills to coordinate with other crew members effectively.
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
