We are a small, welcoming childcare centre located at the NSCC Burridge Campus, caring for just 35 children in a single-level facility. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and caring individual to join our team as a Cleaner / Support Staff member.
This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children while also providing occasional support to classroom staff.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum all areas of the centre
- Empty garbage and recycling
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and high-touch surfaces
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean kitchen area
- Pick up prepared lunches from a nearby location and deliver them to classrooms (requires a valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle)
- Assist staff by helping supervise children for short periods while always working alongside other educators
- Complete other light cleaning and support duties as required
Qualifications
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a childcare environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
