We’re seeking an experienced 310T Mechanic to assist leading our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a min of 5 years’ experience in the industry This is a leadership role with a mix of both hands-on mechanical tasks and supporting our Mechanical Team by coaching and providing guidance with advanced diagnostics and mechanical best practices.
- Heavy duty vehicle and Equipment Maintenance and Repair skills
- Experience with Heavy Truck and Equipment diagnostics
- Strong problem-solving skills and leadership communication is a must
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Must have a valid 310T certification
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, graders, dozers, and other construction equipment is considered a strong asset
- Experience with heavy equipment repair is considered an asset
- Able to work within a team and independently to complete tasks within reasonable deadlines
- Takes pride and ownership of shop cleanliness and organization while upholding and promoting safety policies and procedures
- Follow the direction of Fleet Supervisor/Manager
- Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T)
- Welding experience is an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License required (DZ or AZ considered an asset
- Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs; industry standard repairs
- Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety compliance
- Proven work experience on industry related heavy-duty vehicles and equipment such as; gravel trucks, dump trucks, commercial trailers, plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, graders, backhoes, excavators, etc.
- 310T certification
- Desire to grow and continue to learn in the industry
- Welding background or experience
- Experience using modern diagnostic tools and equipment to find faults and develop an action plan to commence repairs
- Knowledge of components, parts and supplies used to maintain and repair heavy equipment
