About the Role
As our Interior Designer, you'll work closely with our design, estimating, and project management teams to guide clients through the interior design process from concept to completion. You'll help clients make selections, develop detailed interior drawings, and ensure every design aligns with both their vision and their budget.
This is a client-facing position, so strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships are just as important as great design skills.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their lifestyle, needs, and design preferences.
- Develop interior concepts for custom homes and major renovations.
- Guide clients through finish and product selections, including cabinetry, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint colours, hardware, countertops, and other interior finishes.
- Prepare detailed interior drawings and documentation using Revit and SketchUp.
- Coordinate designs with the architectural design team, estimators, and project managers.
- Work with suppliers and trade partners to source products and pricing.
- Help ensure selections remain aligned with project budgets.
- Attend project meetings and provide design support throughout construction.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and building materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential interior design.
- Experience designing custom homes and/or large-scale renovations is preferred.
- Proficient in Revit and SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and interior detailing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
