The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (“the Institute”) is Canada's leading dedicated cardiovascular health centre, recognized for excellence in patient care, research, education, and innovation. As the Institute advances an ambitious vision for the future, to be "your world leading Heart Institute transforming heart health and cardiac care", powered by a people-first culture, digital health, artificial intelligence, advanced cardiac technologies, and world-class research, it is seeking an experienced Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“SVP & CFO”) to help shape its next chapter.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will help guide the strategic direction and long-term sustainability of one of Canada's most respected academic health institutions. Your role is broad and includes serving the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI), the Ottawa Heart Institute Research Corporation (OHIRC), and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation (UOHIF). All three organizations make up the Institute and will look to you for executive oversight for Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Human Resources, Legal Affairs, Research Compliance, Research Administration, and Innovation, ensuring these functions operate in an integrated and aligned manner in support of the Institute's strategic priorities.
