Material Handler - Night Shift
Hours: 7:30pm to 7:30am; 12-hour continental shift
Pay: $24.00 – $25.50 per hour
Location: Southwest Etobicoke (M8Z)
Job Summary
Material Handlers work on the production floor helping move materials between the warehouse and machines. You’ll make sure packaging supplies are stocked, finished products are wrapped and moved out, and everything is kept organized and running smoothly.
Duties:
- Wrap finished pallets and move them to the warehouse
- Make sure boxes are stacked and wrapped properly so nothing shifts
- Label and track pallets in the system
- Scan production jobs for tracking purposes
- Bring packing supplies (boxes, liners, pallets, tape, etc.) to machines as needed
- Keep machines stocked so they can keep running
- Replace empty or damaged pallets and bring them back
- Help move materials for quality checks when needed
- Keep track of what gets used and moved for records
- Clear out scrap and waste during shift
- Help clean up around machines and keep the area tidy
- Check and maintain equipment like pallet trucks, and report issues if something’s off
- Charge electric equipment when needed
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area organized
- Do other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed to operate walkie pallet truck
- Experience with pallet jacks or similar equipment is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills
- Physically fit and able to lift 30+ lbs regularly
- Ability to do lots of standing and walking, as well as some bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive movement
Pay: $24.00-$25.50 per hour
