About the Role
At Pampa Brazilian Steakhouse, we bring the authentic tradition of Southern Brazil to every guest experience. Our Rodizio-style dining combines Brazilian hospitality and premium Grill meats in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. More than serving meals, our team creates memorable dining experiences through genuine hospitality and teamwork.
We are seeking a professional, organized, and team-oriented Host to join our dynamic front-of-house team. As the first point of contact, our Hosts play a vital role in setting the tone for the guest experience and ensuring our daily operations flow seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests at the door promptly and in a friendly manner.
- Make reservations over the phone or in person in a pleasant and attentive manner.
- Be aware of open tables or wait times at peak times.
- Communicate with servers about when the next tables will be arriving or have been seated.
- Thank guests for their visit as they exit the restaurant and invite them to return.
- Be ready and willing to provide support as needed to ensure the smooth, efficient operation of the restaurant, as directed by the manager in charge.
- Answer questions about food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services over the phone and in person.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the front desk area and restock supplies.
Mandatory Requirements
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ProServe Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to establish and develop relationships with team members and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (for the duration of the shift).
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Previous serving experience
- Familiarity with OpenTable and order-taking apps
- Experience in high-volume or upscale dining settings
