Join our dynamic asphalt team as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Skid Steer Experience! In this vital role, you will operate a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects with a heavy focus on skid steer operation. Setting and maintaining grade is an essential skill for this position to support the asphalt crew.
The candidate must ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality work. Your expertise in operating skid steers, backhoes, and other equipment will be instrumental in bringing complex projects to life.

Duties
- Operate a range of heavy equipment including skid steers, backhoes, and rollers to perform site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling.
- Ability to set and maintain grade on sites is a key skill
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Follow project plans and specifications accurately while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Coordinate with team members to execute projects efficiently.
- Support site cleanup and organization by moving materials and debris using appropriate machinery.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience operating skid steers with confidence and precision in various construction environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform routine maintenance on heavy machinery.
- Skilled in operating additional equipment
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment brands is highly desirable.
- Ability to read construction plans and interpret technical specifications accurately.
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Prior construction experience demonstrating safe operation of equipment on large and small scale projects.
5 years experience in equipment operation is a must. The ability to set and maintain a grade on a site is required.
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
