POSITION:
Laboratory Quality Control Materials Technician / Geotechnical Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Laboratory quality control materials testing of;
Soils - standard proctor test, moisture determination, soil classification, Atterberg limits & hydrometers
Aggregates – sampling, sieve analysis & fracture count
Concrete – cylinder compressive strength
Bituminous Asphalt Mixes - core density & thickness determination, Marshall/Superpave analysis and asphalt mix designs.
Geotechnical – classification of soils and soil profiles.
Employment – Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Previous experience in QC/QA materials testing a definite asset.
Education – Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a Degree in Civil Engineering are an asset, but not required. CCIL certification for concrete testing an asset.
Additional Requirements - Valid Class 5 Drivers License
