Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team, specializing in the repair and maintenance of small engines and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various tools, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex engine issues. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of Powersports, and to provide exceptional customer service. The position requires hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including atv, sxs, snowmobile, motorcycles, watercrafts, and other powersports
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and parts replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and welding techniques to complete repairs
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting on engines and related components
- Work with mechanical systems and understand complex schematics for accurate repairs
- Assist customers by explaining repairs, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Heavy lifting of equipment or parts as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with small engines or automotive repair preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in electrical systems and schematics
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other repair tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in sales or providing technical advice is advantageous
- Must be detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
